Organic Fertilizer Information
1. What is misunderstandings of fertilization for farmers at present?
Appreciate chemical fertilizer, disregard organic fertilizer.
Appreciate nitrogen fertilizer, disregard phosphate, potash fertilizer,neglect micro-fertilizer
2. What is the nutrient content of various chemical fertilizers?
Ammonium hydrogen carbonate: N 17%;
DAP:N 18% P2O5 46%;
Potassium sulfate: K2O 50%;
Potassium chloride: K2O 60%;
Urea: N 46%.
3. Different uses of potassium sulfate type and potassium chloride compound fertilizer.
Avoid chlorine crops: tobacco, tea, potato, sweet potato, sugar beet, sugar cane, watermelon, strawberry, apple, pear, citrus, saline alkali soil, greenhouse protected area, the above crops and soil are suitable for potassium sulfate compound fertilizer.
Chlorinated crops: cotton, rice, kiwifruit – the above crops and paddy fields are suitable for potassium chloride compound fertilizer.
4. What is the utilization rate of chemical fertilizer?
N 35%,
P 10-20%,
K 50-60%.
5. Why does the chemical fertilizer burn seedlings?
The reason is that the amount of chemical fertilizer is too large or the seed is too close to the root.
Principle: Fertilization increases the concentration of salt in the soil water, or chemical fertilizer contacts with root directly, which leads to the concentration of soil nutrient close to root is too high. In line with the principle of water flows from low to high concentration, the water in the root outflow into the soil, the water outflow of seeds or seedlings root, then causing seedling.
6. Does the urea can be watered immediately after applied?
No, because urea is easy to lost.
Do not water immediately after fertilization, in the summer, it can be converted to ammonium bicarbonate after 2-3 days, then water it will be better.
7. What are the reasons for the yellowing of wheat seedlings?
Probably because:
Straw turnover(the most commonsituation).
Wheat gets some diseases or rot.
The wheat seeded deeply, and the seedling weak.
Soil drought.
8. Does rice use potassium sulfate compound fertilizer or potassium chloride compound fertilizer?
Under the conditions of flooding, SO42- is restores to H2S, which poisons rice roots and makes it black. Therefore, the rice uses the potassium chloride compound fertilizer.
