How to Select Chemical Fertilizer According to the Characteristics of Crops and Soil Properties
(1)Nitrogen fertilizer: rice should use ammonium nitrogen fertilizer, especially ammonium chloride and urea. Application of ammonium nitrogen fertilizer (such as ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, urea) or nitrate nitrogen fertilizer (such as ammonium nitrate) has same effect on corn, wheat and other cereal crops. It is also appropriate to use ammonium nitrogen fertilizer for the sweet potato and sweet potato. Ammonium nitrate can improve the quality of tobacco, and ammonium nitrogen can contribute to the combustion of tobacco. Chlorine-containing nafertilizer (such as ammonium chloride) reduces the flammability of tobacco and should be avoided.
(2)Phosphate fertilizer: Use the phosphorus fertilizer has better fertilizer effect, such as leguminous crops (soybean, peanut)、sugar crops (sugar beet, sugar cane)、fiber crops (cotton)、potato crops (potato, sweet potato) and melons、fruit trees need more phosphorus. It is not required to apply phosphate fertilizer in the field of phosphate fertilizer. Avoid waste.
(3)Potassium fertilizer: tobacco, potatoes, sweet potatoes, sugar beet, watermelon and fruit trees are all need large amounts of potassium, but these crops are advised to avoid chlorine, and potassium chloride should not be used. Potassium chloride is also not suitable for long-term application on saline-alkali soil. Non-bogey chlorine crops can be used as basal fertilizer and top dressing, but should not be used as seed fertilizer. The potassium sulfate is suitable for various soils and crops, which can be used as base fertilizer, seed fertilizer, top dressing and root top dressing.
(4)Sulfur fertilizer and sodium fertilizer: potatoes, soybean, peanut and rape are all sulfur crops, so the effect of using calcium is better than “heavy calcium”. Because “heavy calcium” does not contain calcium sulfate. Sweet beet is a kind of crops that love sodium, and sodium nitrate is a good fertilizer for sweet beet. Ammonium chloride is banned for avoid chlorine crops, but suitable for cotton, hemp and other crops, because chlorine can increase the toughness and tension of fiber.
