Ventilating Control during Composting Biomass Fertilizer
As for existing producing process of biomass fertilizer, it is important to build a ventilation system. By controlling the speed of ventilation, we can adjust temperature of compost system. It’s necessary to ventilate during composting because it can provide a good environment for microbial to grow well. During the process of composting, there are three goals for ventilation: 1. to supply oxygen; 2. to dehumidify; 3. to cool.
- To supply oxygen:
The composting process can be finished faster because ventilating could provide more oxygen for aerobes to grow, breed and metabolize.
- To dehumidify:
At high temperature, ventilating can decrease moisture in the fertilizer matrix.
- To cool:
Ventilating can reduce the heat generated during composting process, so that we can adjust the temperature.
The ventilation quantity is up to the ingredients of the raw matrix and some other factors.
