Ingredients of Several Common Organic Fertilizers

Pig manure contains 15% organic matter, 0.5% nitrogen(N), 0.5~0.6% phosphorus (P2O5), 0.35~0.45% potassium (K2O). Pig manure has a fine texture, complicated component, containing protein, fat, organic acids, cellulose, cellulose and inorganic salts. Pig manure contains more nitrogen and less C:N (14: 1), easy to be decomposed by microorganisms generally, releasing nutrients that can be absorbed and utilized for crops.

Cow dung contains 14.5% organic matter, 0.3~0.45% nitrogen (N), 0.15 ~ 0.25% phosphorus (P2O5), and 0.1 ~ 0.15% potassium (K2O). The content of organic matter and nutrient in cow dung is the lowest among all kinds of domestic animals dung. It is a kind of late-effect fertilizer with fine texture, high water content, slow decomposition and low calorific value.

Horse manure contains 21% organic matter, 0.4~0.5% nitrogen (N), 0.2-0.3% phosphorus (P2O5) and 0.35 ~ 0.45% potassium (K2O).The content of cellulose and hemicellulose in the composition of horse manure is high. In addition, it contains lignin, protein, fat, organic acid and various inorganic salts. Horse manure is coarse and loose in texture and contains a lot of high-temperature fiber decomposition bacteria. High temperature can be produced in the process of regulation, it is a kind of warm fertilizer.

Sheep manure contains 24~27% organic matter, 0.7~0.8% nitrogen(N), 0.45~0.6% phosphorus (P2O5), and 0.4~0.5% potassium (K2O). Sheep manure contains more organic matter than other animal dung. the sheep manure is fine and the nutrients in it is abundant. Sheep dung is also a kind of warm fertilizer.
